Skyline Drive is a wonderful ride through the mountains of VA. Plenty of sweeping curves and many beautiful lookouts, numerous trails, etc. Not many places to gas up, so it's important to fill up before you get on the parkway. Once there, about the only option available is at Big Meadows (and, depending on how busy things are, you may end up waiting a while to get gas).

The Pink Cadillac Diner
This 50's themed restaurant has a great family feel. The food's pretty decent, too!

Nothing fancy. An old Mom & Pop motel that's clean and in a convenient location.

Seneca Rocks is a unique rock outcropping in West Virginia. As you travel through the valley on your way to Seneca Rocks, you sill see a number os similar ridges but none so pronounced as Seneca Rocks. There is a very nice Park Visitor's Station with ample parking. If you have an opportunity (and it's not too crowded), be sure to stop and check out the establishments across the road from the visitor's center.

Another Mom & Pop motel. The family that owns it was very accommodating. If you like BBQ, there is a BBQ joint within easy walking distance just north of the motel.

One of my favorite places to eat when I travel through the area. However, I recently heard that the family who owns it is planning to relocate in 2017 so I don't know if the restaurant will continue or whether it will be as good as it is now.
