Petersburg Loop 1 - Part A

Beginning in Petersburg, this loop (Parts A and B) starts with a scenic ride through old farm country. In Dorcas, take the short detour over to the Spring Run Fish Hatchery before continuing south on South Mill Creek Road through the small towns of Mozer and Kline. When you return to Rt 220 at Upper Tract, head south to Franklin, then west on Rt 33 as it crosses North Fork Mountain. Just over the summit as you being you descent, watch for the scenic overlook turnoff to the right. This view of Germany Valley is one of the nicest overlooks in the state. Continue past Judy Gap and begin your climb to Spruce Knob, the highest point in West Virginia. (Continued on Petersburg Loop 1 - Part B)
